Promise church had its start in 2021 when the Tapia family moved to Minneapolis. Their purpose was to start a new Christian church and begin pastoral ministry in the Twin Cities.
Meet the Tapias
We are the Tapia family—Jacob, Christina, Landen, Alayna, and Anyssa. We are so excited to be starting a new church in Minneapolis! We want you to join us soon for our Sunday worship event. We look forward to meeting you!
Pastor Jacob
Jacob is a fifth-generation Minnesotan and was raised in Mankato. After receiving a BA in Theology in 2004, he began full-time ministry and has served in local, district, and national positions. He later completed his MBA in General Business through Lindenwood University. Jacob is an ordained minister with the United Pentecostal Church International.
Jacob is an entrepreneur and business owner. He currently works as a Hospice Chaplain. Jacob enjoys playing golf and fishing. He is an avid reader and can often be found at a coffee shop around Minneapolis studying or having a conversation with a friend.
